I love the news! No big shock there, after all that is how I make my living. I have to be honest here, at times it is hard not to become a little numb when it comes to certain kinds of stories. Friday afternoon, the news was anything but the norm. Several cable news organizations carried a live car chase out of Houston, TX. It was the wildest chase I have ever seen, and I think the majority of my coworkers agree with me. I am not talking about some slow speed "O. J. Simpson" style car chase. You just need to see it to believe it.
Please don't get me wrong, I am not happy that some criminal decided to lead Houston authorities on a wild goose chase, and I certainly hope that no one was hurt. This chase did serve as a "wake up" call, at least for me. Breaking live news can still be more exciting than the very best action thriller.
I want to know what you think. What was the last story you saw that truly caught your attention? Was it something local, from another part of the country, or from over seas? Shoot me an e-mail, and let me know what you think.
