IMPEACH THE IDIOT NOW!

Only about the same impact on the jobs in this area when Texas opens up gambling, or if PPG,Conoco, Citgo, Firestone, and others were to have a moratorium inflicted upon them.....
Yet another "F"iasco put down onto the state of Louisiana by the puppet-led POTUS. I say lets have a garage sale of Michelle's shoe collection (average price paid $600 a pair) along with our money spent on their vacations. That alone would fuel at least a small third world country...something of the likes of how Obama treats our state.

Do you really think this meeting was about oil drilling? Come on MAN!!! She is not going to do anything that will have a result impact on La. She dosn't need a meeting to know the already obviouss. This was nothing more than a dog and pony show. Espeacially for the guy who is unfaithful. This meeting is to keep voters from being able to say" Lil miss muffin didn't do a thing". She will not get anything done about this. It is all a forest to keep us voters from seeing the trees. Don't fall for it. She is in Obama's back pocket. Wouldn't it be great to have a Senator in La. voters back pocket. Meeting was a waste of my tax dollar. I know she didn't pay for this trip to La. out of her pocket. Vitter didn't either. What bunch of B.S.

A three-year-old federal law that makes it a crime to falsely claim to have received a medal from the U.S. military is unconstitutional, an appeals court panel in California ruled Tuesday.

The decision involves the case of Xavier Alvarez of Pomona, Calif., a water district board member who said at a public meeting in 2007 that he was a retired Marine who received the Medal of Honor, the nation's highest military decoration.

Alvarez was indicted in 2007. He pleaded guilty on condition that he be allowed to appeal on First Amendment grounds. He was sentenced under the Stolen Valor Act to more than 400 hours of community service at a veterans hospital and fined $5,000.

A panel of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals sided with him in a 2-1 decision Tuesday, agreeing that the law was a violation of his free-speech rights. The majority said there's no evidence that such lies harm anybody, and there's no compelling reason for the government to ban such lies.

The dissenting justice insisted that the majority refused to follow clear Supreme Court precedent that false statements of fact are not entitled to First Amendment protection.

If the Governor of the State had reviewed an existiting Saftey Guideline the BP incident would not have happened. Now to be sure that an incident like the BP disaster never happens again, SHOW THE PLAN CEO's with all your money and heart.

WE won't need no oil drilling and those stinky old refineries and chemical plants just as soon as Houston gets word of our LAKEFRONT DEVELOPMENT!

The casinos will close their doors and all those downtown restaurants will be burgeoning meccas of culinary delight filled with sophisticated Texans holding forth intelligent and enlightened conversations heretofore unknown from our own knuckle-dragging denizens.

All the tax dollars rolling into city coffers will be made available so we can hire MORE outside "consultants" to tell us how to turn Lake Charles into "Venice on the Calcasieu".

Who needs oil? We got "economic development"!

KPLC YOU ARE A RACIST NETWORK OF NEWS, WHY IS THIS STATEMENT OK TO POST, BUT OTHERS KEEP GETTING DELETED.

"but Whitey is just CRACKERS"

I AM VERY OFFENDED. I AM ALSO GOING TO MAKE A VERY VERY BIG DEAL OUT OF THIS ALSO.

TALK TO A COUPLE GROUPT TODAY ABOUT PROTESTING AT YOUR STATION.

SHAME ON YOU

Mike

The drilling ban will have a substantial impact on Louisiana jobs. It doesn't take much intelligence to figure that one out. HOW MUCH of an impact is open to discussion. These meetings are only political posturing to garner support for upcoming elections. There really aren't any new decisions that need to be made. There are already plenty of safety precautions in place and we don't need any more laws. Just enforce what we already have. As for the Obozo administrations position on the ban, I can only say that it'll be my turn in November.

Mary

I agree with e. KPLC has proven they are consistently racially biased against whites. It is time to stand up and protest against kplc.

e

I have posted many many questions why it is OK for post calling whites "crackers" while it is not ok to call blacks a "n" word as they call it. Who is really being racist.. Ms. Arceneaux?

Swamp Charly

...Law enforcement overwhelmed by sky-rocketting violence in Downtown Lake Charles !!!! Media has been asked not to report for fear of scaring off potential developers..........

e

Violence has been skyrocketing for a while now. I know, because i work in the field that deals with it. all the things that i see, it it is never reported on the news.

umm...people will say, "well he lucked out a few times, and now he wants to shove this fru-fru BS down our throats as some kind of validation for this diarrhea of the mind anyone could do given his circumstances".....but truth is, and you can ask anyone who really knows me, ok the cowboy, and he'll say that this kinda religious significance ascribed to art has always been the only thing he ever really knew about me; even the cowboy's own penchant for violent passion went unrequited, although the older ones certainly knew it was there already in myself....i think what really attracts me to people is the sloppy acknowledgement of other things greater than themselves, as indicated by the cowboy's mad rush to burn his own furniture and belongings that first night he met me, and then stare into the bonfire uncaring that someone else, indeed maybe more than just myself, cause it was hardly a romantic or intimate affair, it was a party, was watching him. The next time youre at a bonfire, notice that people dont mind u looking at them stare into the inferno, but also, please, mind that there our others, looking at you, who wish you'd look away.

I think that was the moment that the deep dark insanity that everyone always knew existed in their leaders, the ones who can see, was mollified into something useful for everyone else....Not the simple fertilization of staring into the fires of each other's eyes in the throes of orgasm; i dont know anything about that....But rather the sympatcoe understanding, that culture begins and always did began, with the warrior, and the priest.

the semi-retired CB

You see one comes from somewhere else, and a just leader, knowing the errors of his ways, burns everything before that day when the newcomer came; and seeks to create a world better than the one that had existed before.
