Put one in the win column for former Pinnacle Entertainment CEO Dan Lee. A Nevada District Court ruled Monday in favor of Lee in a lawsuit brought by Pinnacle to try and stop Lee from building a competitor casino right next to L'Auberge du Lac. Pinnacle claims Lee is in violation of his separation agreement. Pinnacle also believes the former CEO has used inside knowledge to provide the Port of Lake Charles with information to try and terminate its land lease agreement with Pinnacle. Pinnacle also has litigation pending against the Port of Lake Charles over the land that was to be used for Sugarcane Bay... the very same land that Lee proposes to build his "Mojito Pointe." The District Court in Nevada ruled in favor of Lee on Monday. But this may not be the end. Pinnacle has plans to strengthen its case against Lee, and could soon file another lawsuit. What's your reaction to the court's ruling in favor of Lee and against Pinnacle?
pinnacle is trying to dictate the caniso business in Lake Charles they decided to invest in Baton Rouge instead of Lake Charles i say boy cot Pinnacle they think they are to big for their britches go Lee help keep Lake Charles in the go for casino bussiness

Useless topic. Casinos provide a faux economy sucking money from out of town and poor people. Lake Charles voted for it way back when and here is what you get. Move on.

Lake Charles voted on casinos several years ago and the income generated has been a welcome addition to our economy. It has not produced all the problems predicted by the "gloom and doom" crowd. In this case, Pinnacle is trying to stifle competition and I don't blame them for trying. Hopefully the contract between the Port of Lake Charles and Pinnacle allows the Port to reissue the land for other purposes if Pinnacle failed to build the new casino. We'll see how all this turns out. It's all a matter of contract law now.

Po L'Auberge du Pond... It's called free enterprise - and its a great motivator for businesses who want to build an empire in our neck of the woods.
Get over it Pinnacle, you had a chance to build and you squandered the deal. If this was Blackjack - you've lost, now move on.

Hey Mike, what do you have against the casino industry in our area? Is it the thousands of jobs they create or all the tax revenue they generate from out of state. If you don't like to gamble I understand, but I can't understand how someone could be against a PRIVATE company investing hundreds of millions in our economy.

Off topic here but interesting. I drive from New Orleans every other Thursday. This talk show was on the air. It was right after Palin said she could beat Obama in an election and the liberal news media went wild. Thier pollthe radio station took was almost 60% said she would win againist Obama but the D J's were quick to add that this was a state poll and the national poll put Obama ahead. Here is the funny part. Almost every caller was black. Yes you could tell by thier voice and I'm not being racist at all. Everyone of them started by saying Sara Palin didn't have the experience to run the country. Out of all the callers the question was asked back one time to one person. She was a governor and was also a CEO of a company. Obama never owned or was a boss of even a snowcone stand yet they think he was qualified to be president. The media has put this in thier heads and when you put Palin and Obama side by side in experience running things Obama looses hands down. You would have to be a blind fool to see anything but the differance between the two. If you disagree please tell me what he has run.
