Where's Bobby?

    "Where's Bobby?"   That was the cry from hundreds of college students Wednesday as they protested on the steps of the State Capitol.  As you know, the students held a rally in Baton Rouge yesterday to show their concern over a hundred million dollars in cuts to higher education being proposed by the Jindal Adminstration.  But Governor Bobby Jindal wasn't even in town during their rally.  He was in North Louisiana at the time of the rally, working on his "Building a Better Louisiana for Children" tour.  The Governor also has a new book on store shelves that he's been promoting.  All of this leads the students to ask the question is Governor Jindal spending too much time concentrating on other endeavors, when he should be concentrating on looming cuts to higher education?  Is Governor Jindal still focused on Louisiana?

Students need to be careful what they wish for. tuition in neighboring states is approx 20-25% higher than LA colleges. they will end up biting the hand that feeds them.

This is what we need to work on. The people who cry the loudest are the ones getting stuff for free. We as taxpayers owe nobody an education. These are the same students that probably voted to put the spending, breaking the bank idiot in office in DC.

There seems to be nobody at the helm of the La. ship of state. We are in the worst financial crisis in Louisiana history and all Mr. Jindal seemingly has done is travel around campaigning and promoting his new book (Where he seldom ever mentions Louisiana as I hear it). I wish for once we could have a governor who is a true statesman, with the best interest of the state in mind. I do not remember this in my lifetime (I'm 62).

I have known Bobby Jindal for a long time. He is a very smart person. Bobby is an idea man. He doesn't like to role up his shirt sleeves and do the hard work of running the state. Jindal expects others under him to do this job. I had reservations on supporting him as Governor because of this flaw. I would not support him as President because of this issue. Leaders need to lead as I do, not as I say do!

I voted for Jindal and expected him to live up to his campaign promises. So far, he has been a big disappointment to me and I will not vote for him again...for ANY office. He should be at the helm of our Ship of State and not running around the country campaigning for various issues and promoting his book. That, to me, is a dereliction of duty. If Jindal is as smart as Buck contends, then he should know that the citizens of Louisiana want him to stay home and take care of our state issues.

Oh yea, Let's go back to the type of governor Edwards was, crooked as hell,with all his friends lining their pockets with our tax dollars. Jindal is doing a decent job as Governor but, until they change the Constitution that some idiot drew up, he can't legally cut anything but higher education and healthcare. Let's look at the majority of other states and see what shape they are in and what they are cutting. Worst shape and cutting the same programs. But their college tuitions are way way higher than ours. So quit whining unless you can help with a solution.

Once again KPLC shows their bias against Governor Jindal with the question of where is Bobby? KPLC knows that he was in North LOUISIANA working on a program for our children. There was no reason for him to be at a rally of a bunch of crybabies who don't want to pay for their own college education. Bobby is making the necessary financial cuts to bring Louisiana back to fiscal responsibility. KPLC should be ashamed of themselves for trying to stir up trouble and agitate a bunch of crybabies.
