The New Orleans Saints earned a spot in the playoffs with a come from behind win in Atlanta against the Falcons Monday night. But unless the Falcons lose their final regular season game against the lowly Carolina Panthers, the Saints will have to take the long road back to the Super Bowl. Going on the road, and playing an extra wildcard game. Are the Saints still super? Do you still hold out hope of a second straight Super Bowl crown coming to New Orleans?
Bigger question: Do you think that sports announcers will ever again be able to get through a Saints game without a sappy reference to those poor Katrina people?

Wishlist of Sunrise guest Robert Turley (of the LSU Ag Center) features disgusting Neo-Confederate and consipiracy wack-job literature. Does he really want the South to break away from the Union again?

Back to the question at hand: Most of us know that the fortunes of football can change overnight so predictions mean absolutely nothing. However, we like to gather in support of our hometown heroes so that leads us to the Saints. Not an individual player but the team as a whole. It's just a fun thing to do so lots of us do it. Can they repeat as Superbowl Champions? Of course they can. Will they? That remains to be seen but we'll have fun rooting for them as long as they remain in the playoffs. I won't lose any sleep regardless of the outcome but I'll enjoy the journey.

Our " Anointed Savior " apparently picks Michael Vick as come back junior savior - role model so the 'Aints won't make it. All Vick wants for Christmas is a puppy and that is so sweet.

Eric Fuqua - Maybe you should read the real history books and you WILL see that the Civil War was fought over States Rights vs. the Federal Government's Central Oppressive Control NOT Slavery ! We have the same situation today , the Confederate States are still subject to the Reconstruction Act of 1867 ( Read it Dude ), We have a more Centralized Federal Government than 1860 , our rights have been trampled , our freedoms are waning and YES , it is time to cecede again . The difference of today and then is the " Yankees " will not survive w/o us , Rust Belt vs The Sun Belt, this time We can succeed. NO MORE FEDERAL THUMBS on our REARS

A really dumb question: Are the Saints still super?
Before the Aints can "still" be super...they have got to BE super!!!! Never has happened!!! Favre was a turncoat....
